Dr Liyanage graduated in Sri Lanka in 2000 and completed his internship in the UK. In 2006 he relocated to Australia where he commenced his medical journey at the Royal Darwin Hospital and progressed to fulfilling his dream of becoming a General Practitioner. He is passionate about continuity of care, holistic health and more recently wellbeing. Furthermore, he has special interests in skin cancer care medicine and surgery, diabetes, arthritis and mental health. His self-exploration deeper into mindfulness and meditation has inspired him to share the benefits with his patients. He says, “I strongly believe that learning about yourself by becoming a friend to your soul is the beginning of wellness”. Through his own experiences, he understands the importance of good mental health, resilience and a strong sense of self as keys to unlocking challenges to physical health and wellbeing. Therefore, you will find a non-judgmental, safe space to discuss life’s most tricky and difficult health conditions, as Dr Liyanage understands that seeking help is the first step in the process to “wellness”. He is dedicated to ongoing learning and upskilling in evidenced based medicine and best practice management with an individualised, supportive and compassionate approach. In addition to medicine, Dr Liyanage has been the General Manager of Top End Medical Services since 2017. He enjoys spending time with his family and pets, travelling, listening and singing along to 70’s, 80’s music and ballads, keeps fit by bike riding, monkey bar gym group fitness, snowboarding and playing cricket. His love for cricket reached a pinnacle when he captained his local team to win a premiership in the Darwin district competition

Dr Chary’s reputation precedes him, as a valued GP who has become an established healthcare provider which spans 9 years of practice in the Darwin Community.
Dr Chary enjoys a faithful patient base, who benefit from a thorough and thoughtful consultation. Having worked previously at Arafura Medical Clinics in Palmerston, Casuarina, Humpty Doo and Howard Springs, Dr Chary brings to Top End Medical a wealth of experience, since joining our team in June 2016.
Dr Chary embarked on his medical career in Hyderabad, India where he also completed his residency.
Dr Chary thrives on the varied nature of General Practice and welcomes all cases, indicative of his experience and knowledge. Future endeavours for Dr Chary include obtaining a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, whilst continuing to take care of our patients in the Northern Territory.

Dr. Greville is a qualified General Practioner(MBBS) from Imperial College, London and Medically trained in Cambridge University.
Dr. Greville is experienced in treating and organising health assessments and care plans of DVA/War Veterans.
Previously based in Cardiff, Wales where he had been working for several years as a respected community family doctor.
Holds a diploma in family planning, Intrauterine and implant contraception devices and has a keen interest in men’s health.
Holds a qualification in skin dermatoscopy- (skin clinics)
Dr. Greville has trained in some of the most prestigious Hospitals in London and later completed his internship in the Oxford deanery- (John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford)
He is a certified Heart math Em wave 2 (relaxation – apparatus) coach and appreciates the importance of a holistic/ functional approach to health and wellness. Dr. Greville considers himself an enthusiastic family generalist first and foremost.
He has taken years to develop his skills and continues to challenge himself intellectually He has a sensitive non-judgmental approach which is very important to him.
He is working towards a qualification in skin cancer surgery.

Dr Madhuri is a female GP who has recently turned her focus to General Practice, joining Top End Medical Centre in Stuart Park in May 2017. After serving 16 years as a doctor at Portland District Health, Victoria, Dr Madhuri relocated to Darwin in January 2017, seeking a position which allowed her to deliver continuity of care, and a holistic approach to family medicine, something which was lacking in the Australian Public Hospital System.
Dr Madhuri completed her residency at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital, in her native country of Sri Lanka. Dr Madhuri speaks English and Sinhalese, and welcomes all patients, providing comprehensive care to individuals and the broader Darwin community.
Dr Madhuri has a special interest in Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics, and is currently pursuing her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Sheryl Silva is a reputable and well-known figure in the Darwin community, given his contribution to the health and wellbeing of his patients has spanned nearly a decade between Palmerston and Darwin. A conscientious practitioner who has a wealth of experience in General Practice, Dr Sheryl is recognisable from his tenure at GP Super Clinic Palmerston from 2007 to 2014.
Joining Top End Medical Centre at the opening of our second location in Stuart Park in January 2014, Dr Silva is actively involved in patient centred care and the professional development and training of GP Registrars and Internationally Trained Doctors, driving our commitment as a registered training facility with NTGPE.
Special interests for Dr Silva focuses on respiratory conditions which stems from a comprehensive knowledge and understanding in chest medicine. Dr Silva will continue to satisfy the needs of his patients while contributing to the professional development of our junior practitioners.

Dr Sangeeta is a female practitioner who has become a fundamental presence in Top Ene Medical Centre Women’s health daily clinic, Skin cancer medicine and in General practice. Her ongoing interest is in treating patients from different walks of life with varied medical conditions and the pleasure of getting to know them better.
Dr. Sangeeta graduated in 2008 in India. She started working at the Royal Darwin Hospital in 2013. Her area of interest is Skin Cancer Medicine, Sexual Health, Chronic disease management, Paediatrics and Aged Care. She is passionate about early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer to improve patient outcomes. As a passionate Skin Cancer Doctor, she has done several certificate level courses in the field of skin cancer medicine, surgery & dermoscopy. She has also attended several advanced skin cancer surgical courses across Australia. Being a skin cancer doctor who is trained in Australia, she does comprehensive skin checks, diagnosis, and management of skin cancers. Her treatments range from simple excisions to complex closures.
To improve her skills and adapt to industry advances in techniques, she regularly attends conferences and seminars, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Sangeeta is currently pursuing a fellowship in Skin Cancer, Australasia.

Dr Ajith qualified as a Medical Practitioner in 2003 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, in his home country of Sri Lanka. He began his career as a General Practitioner in 2005, following his internship in Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Simultaneously practicing Emergency Medicine/Critical Care and Anesthesiology at the Teaching Hospital of Anuradhapura, he broadened his knowledge base in the delivery of Emergency Services, including war casualties. During this period, he has contributed immensely to Community Medicine in rural health clinics. Following two and half years of practice he relocated to Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka, to continue his practice.
In addition to the fulfillment of his duties, Dr Ajith pursued new dimensions of medicine through the field of Research, achieving his Master of Science at the Post Graduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya in 2010.
After eight years of service in Sri Lanka, he relocated to Queensland, Australia where he has completed several educational programs including Psychiatry in General Practice, Family Planning Programs, and Sexual Health and HIV Programs, contributing to his progressive professional development ethos.
In 2014 Dr Ajith relocated to the Northern Territory and has been a trusted and highly regarded practitioner amongst the Palmerston Community. Joining the team in 2017 at Top End Medical Centre in our Stuart Park location, Dr Ajith is committed to serving our patients and the broader community in Darwin. Dr Ajith is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and will participate in the delivery of education to GP registrars and colleagues, stabilising his knowledge base through the mentorship of others.

Dr Muhandiram has been living in Darwin since 2006 and moved into General Practice in 2009. He has considerable expertise in skin cancer medicine, anti wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers and cosmetic dermatology. He is currently working for the Fellowship of Skin Cancer, Australia.
During this time he has also furthered his medical knowledge in emergency medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases medicine, rehabilitation medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology at the Royal Darwin Hospital.
Dr Muhandiram has previously worked as a doctor in England where he gained invaluable experience in urology, orthopaedics, psychiatry, general medicine and pharmacology, and upper gastro intestinal surgical medicine. He has also studied sexual health and relationship therapy at the School of Health and Postgraduate Medicine, University of Lancashire and Environmental Health at the University of West of England (UWE).
Future plans for Dr Muhandiram include expanding his knowledge in cosmetic dermatology, laser and Intense Pulse Light (IPL) practice, whilst maintaining a high quality of client management and dedication to affordable health care.

Dr Rina Doltani is a female practitioner who has resided in Darwin for 5 years and 6 months, which has earned her a loyal and dedicated patient base at Top End Medical Centre since she joined the team in February 2014.
Prior to this, Dr Rina completed her residency in her native country of Pakistan.
Upon arrival to the Northern Territory, Dr Rina worked at Royal Darwin Hospital for three years, where she discovered her appreciation for women’s health.
Dr Rina divides her time between our Stuart Park location and our Rosebery clinic.
Future endeavours for Dr Doltani include further specialisation in women’s health with a focus on obstetrics and gynaecology.
Dr Tapiwa Chirambaguwa has been an integral part of the team at Top End Medical Centre in our Stuart Park location since June 2014. He has an innate understanding of the needs of the community and his meticulous nature ensures a continuity of care for all of his patients.
Dr Tapiwa completed his studies at the University of Zimbabwe and also completed his residency in Zimbabwe, his native country. He also worked in various other countries including Lesotho and Namibia. Upon arrival in Darwin, Dr Tapiwa commenced work immediately with Top End Medical Centre, and as a testimony to his commitment to Continued Professional Development, he acquired the reputable Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in under 2 years.
Dr Tapiwa’s special interests are in general practice and skin cancer medicine. He is currently pursuing a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer Medicine.

Dr Tawanda Chiputa is a general practitioner with experience in all aspects of general practice. Having joined our team in 2016, Dr Tawanda brings with him a positive and energetic attitude as he provides quality care to our patients.
Dr Tawanda commenced his study at The University of Zimbabwe – School of Medicine, and continued on to complete his residency at the United Bulawayo Hospital in Zimbabwe. To complement his portfolio, he also worked as a hospital based General Practitioner in Namibia.
Since joining the Top End he has acquired the Fellowship of the Royal College and is committed to ongoing professional development.
Dr Tawanda loves soccer, golf and being with his family.
Dr Bandula is a male General Practitioner who has joined our skilled team of health professionals at Top End Medical Centre Rosebery in August 2016.
Residing in Darwin for three and a half years, Dr Bandula is eager to contribute to the health and welfare of the Darwin Community through the medium of General Practice, whilst working towards his Fellowship of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners.
Dr Bandula commenced his learning at The Faculty of Medicine, University of Sri Lanka. To complete his residency, Dr Bandula worked at The Teaching Hospital Karapitiya and The Teaching Hospital of Mahamodara (Maternity Department) in Galle, Sri Lanka.
As is the nature of General Practice, Dr Bandula welcomes all patients, who can expect a thorough and consultative appointment at our Palmerston location.

Dr Sanjoy Biswas completed his MBBS in Bangladesh and his DCH in Sydney.
Dr Biswas joined Top End Medical Centre in December 2016 after a relocation from Sydney, and has embraced the Darwin climate and community, enjoying the temperate weather and outdoor lifestyle that the Northern Territory offers in abundance.
Our patients desired health outcomes remain central to Dr Sanjoy, who understands that General Practice is defined by coordinated health practices and patient focussed care for individuals and family medicine.
Doctor Biswas is working towards gaining his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Nolasco Capati has been practicing in Darwin since 2008 as a General Practitioner at Arafura Medical Clinics in Casuarina. He successfully completed his fellowship exams in General Practice after just one year. He is committed to maintaining a high level of holistic care to his patients, and continues to build his professional development across his areas of expertise and special interest as well as with in the area of General Practice as a whole.
Dr. Nolasco Capati completed his Doctor of Medicine in Manila, Philippines, in 1995, after which he went on and finished his residency training in Internal Medicine, followed by subspecialty training in Pulmonary Medicine in 2002. He practiced in Primary Care in Manila until 2008, before moving to Darwin.
Dr Capati completed his Australian Dermatology Diploma at the Australian Institute of Dermatology, Queensland in 2010 and has completed his Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery given by the University of Queensland.
He has a special interest in skin cancer, diabetes, dermatology and pulmonary medicine.

Dr Satbir Aulakh has a wealth of local experience and is an active community member. He has worked as a GP since December 2007 at Humpty Doo and also at Rapid Creek After Hours Medical Centre. After completing his MBBS from Assam Medical College in 1999, he worked in a private GP clinic for five years before briefly moving to the UK and then on to Mount Gambier Hospital in South Australia, where he worked as a registrar in the Emergency Department. He passed his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of GPs in 2009.
Dr Aulakh’s special interests are in the management of fractures (non-operative) and dislocations, and in sports medicine where he has been treating his patients for musculoskeletal injuries. He is skilled in cortisone injections into the joints and tendons for the treatment of sports related and repetitive strain injuries (RSI).
Dr Aulakh provides treatment and management of chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, seronegative arthritis, and neurological disorders including Parkinson’s Disease, and tremors.
Dr Aulakh is a qualified cosmetic physician and is skilled in treatment with anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers. He also provides treatment for heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, and ingrown toenails, as well removal of foreign bodies from cornea/ conjunctiva of the eye.
Dr. Suniel Reddy relocated to Darwin, Australia in 2016, having completing locum, GP and Emergency Medicine in the UK.
Originally from India, Dr. Reddy speaks Hindi and Telugu and welcomes all patients to his care.
Having worked for 1 year in Coolalinga Medical Centre, Dr. Reddy understands the diversity of the Darwin population and the health conditions associated with our climate.
Dr. Reddy has a special interest in Chronic Diseases and Musculoskeletal medicine. He is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Asanga Bandara has been living in Darwin since February 2017, having relocated with his family from Melbourne, Victoria. Dr Asanga joined Top End Medical Centre in May 2017, and is eager to provide patient focused care, thus prioritising health and well being for the Darwin community.
In 2001, Dr Asanga completed his bachelor degree at The University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, and joined the Ministery of Health, Sri Lanka.
He moved to Melbourne in 2012 and commenced work in General Practice and has obtained:

Dr Bandi is a female GP who recently joined the Top End medical centre- Casuarina.
She has been working as a GP in Darwin since 2014.
Since the completion of her MBBS in 2000, she has gained a wealth of experience in General Practice as well as in Emergency medicine, cardiology, Community Medicine, Family Medicine, Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
She is committed to maintaining a high level of patient centred comprehensive care. In order to achieve that she initiated her Post-Graduate education in General Practice back in Sri Lanka and completed Diploma of Family Medicine at Post Graduate Institute of Medicine, in 2010.
Dr Bandi has been continuing her professional development in General Practice career and has successfully completed the fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and General Registration in Australian Medical Council in 2017.

Dr Sofia Mir is a female GP who joined our team at Top End Medical Centre, Casuarina in January 2017, however, she is no stranger to Darwin, having resided in the Northern Territory for 5 years.
Dr Sofia has enjoyed multiple healthcare opportunities in Darwin, including Royal Darwin Hospital, Territory Medical Centre, and the Tiwi Islands, giving her a valuable insight into the needs of our community and the challenges associated with the tropical climate.
Hailing from Pakistan, Dr Sofia completed her residency, partially in her home country, and in Australia. This experience garnered an interest in Women’s and Children’s Health, Indigenous Healthcare, Chronic Disease Management and Ante-natal and Post-natal care.
Dr Sofia is currently pursuing a qualification in DRANZCOG, and is conducting research in the field of Gestational Diabetes and STI’s.

Dr Edna Gadil is a well-respected female practitioner who has provided quality healthcare to the Darwin Community for over 16 years. Dr Edna commenced her medical career in Arafura Medical Centre, and has also enjoyed practising at Casuarina Square Medical and Dental. Dr Edna presently works at Family Planning NT in addition to her provision of services at Top End Medical Centre in Casuarina.
Dr Edna embarked upon her medical journey in her home country of the Philippines, and completed her studies at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Centre. Dr Edna commenced her residency in the Philippine Children’s Medical Centre and went on to complete her residency in Australia at the Northern Territory General Practice Education Organisation.
Dr Edna’s special interests include Women’s Health, and her placement within both Top End Medical Centre and Family Planning NT allows her to focus on gynaecology, ante-natal and post-natal care and contraceptive advice.
Future endeavours for Dr Edna are in the world of cosmetic medicine, and as a commitment to her Continued Professional Development, Dr Edna will keep abreast of any further developments in Women’s Health.

Dr Kalinga “Karl” Herath worked in the Emergency Department and General Surgical wards in Sri Lanka from 2006-2013. He has developed a penchant for medical emergencies, surgical patients care and facilitating surgical procedures.
Dr Kalinga commenced working at Top End Medical Centre, Casuarina as a General Practitioner in 2014. Since then, he has further developed his skills and knowledge by completing his Diploma in Dermatology and Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine. In 2015, Dr Kalinga attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners

Dr. Capati completed her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology in 1987 and graduated in 1991 as Doctor of Medicine in Manila, Philippines. She finished her residency training in internal medicine and completed her subspecialty training in adult cardiology in Manila where she started her Primary Care practice in 2000.
Dr. Marilou Capati has been practicing in Darwin since 2008 as a General Practitioner and completed her fellowship exams in General Practice in 2010.
Dr. Capati has special interest in women’s health, diabetes and cardiology. In 2015 she became accredited as a Hepatitis B S100 prescriber, and is now one of the few GPs in Darwin who can treat and prescribe for Hepatitis B patients. She is also able to treat Hepatitis C. She is well known for her comprehensive care in her field of practice, and is passionate about the health of the CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) community in Darwin. She is working her way towards being accredited for formal Antenatal GP Shared care.
