Dawn Hutchinson, originally from Ireland, joined the team at Stuart Park in October 2014, a mere 10 months after it opened its doors to the Darwin CBD community.

A novice to the Australian medical industry, it was a significant learning curve and a welcome challenge for Dawn, who hails from a Health and Wellness background.

In 2004, Dawn embarked on a career in the Health and Fitness Industry, working exclusively with women hoping to combat a myriad of health concerns through a reputable International company Curves for Women. Dawn remained in her hometown of Waterford until 2009, managing a franchise and leading a nutrition class for dedicated members.

In 2008, whilst attending a convention for Curves franchisees, Dawn was invited to apply for the position of Curves International Special Projects Mentor. This involved the international launch and development of new and existing Curves franchises across Europe, Asia and Australia.

Until 2012, Dawn fulfilled this role, working across Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, The Channel Islands, Sweden, Belgium, Malaysia, and Australia. Achieving breakeven status for new franchisees, and assisting with the HR Management and Membership retention of existing centres, Dawn enjoyed the international role, immersed in culture and personal development.

In October 2012, Dawn relocated to Australia and enjoyed 2 years of travel interstate and throughout South East Asia.

Since joining the team at Top End Medical Centre, Dawn has successfully completed her Diploma in Professional Practice Leadership from the University of New England and has become a Certified Practice Manager through the Australian Association of Practice Managers. Dawn has also facilitated the renewal of AGPAL accreditation for our Stuart Park location.
