Dr Jeffries is originally from the United States and relocated to Australia over 8 years ago to pursue a medical career. Before medicine, he had a career in medical research at Duke University and University of Sydney where he published over 15 peer-reviewed articles. He completed his intern and residency in Albury-Wodonga and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne before moving to the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals last year to work in the Emergency Department.
He is excited to start his career in General Practice here at Top End Medical Stuart Park. His specific interests within general practice include Allergy and Immunology, Skin Cancer and Dermatology and Indigenous Health.
His interests outside of medicine include travel, camping and is an avid sports enthusiast. He lives in the Northern suburbs with his fiancé and 2 year old Spoodle.
He is currently working toward a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Certificate in Emergency Medicine with the Australian College of Emergency Medicine.
